    "La Putain de compile" is a video-project conducted by the Pink Panthers in collaboration with the video-activist collective Les Lucioles and with Stella, the non-profit sex workers organization. The DVD contains more than 25 short videos from Québec, France, United States, India and four other countries.

     

    It's a project that aims at giving another discourse on sex work than its mainstream representation. That is with; traditional media, a certain feminist groups or with our day-to-day environment, there's a big need to open up to the voices of the people it primarily concerns: the sex workers themselves!

     

    This DVD is a non-profitable project and non-marketable. It can be shown during non commercial events, as alternative festivals, squats,  prostitutes' rights associations, evenings of support, etc.

     

    Born at the beginning of the seventies the sex workers movement of today spreads over the 5 continents. For 30 years the self-organization of sex workers permits them to emerge as subjects of their own experience, their own subjectivity and their own voices.
